Family Closet
It has taken a while for me to get around to this post, mostly because I could never manage to get the room tidy enough for a photo shoot. 😀 But today we managed to get it presentable enough to show off. I will say that, while there is sufficient room both in terms of drawers and hanging space for our storage requirements, and bedrooms are much more organized than they have ever been, I still have not resolved the difficulty of where to put the dirty laundry buckets. But the family closet is definitely one of the biggest improvements in our household to date.

Well, this is truly an amazing development in the laundry department! Have done a few loads…taking from the dryer, and find it most delightful to be able to reach up for a hanger and hang up things up immediately! I can’t speak for the kids, but I am sure they are loving it….as for me, my stuff comes back to my “little corner” right after drying, so I just enjoy the fun of working in this fantastic space!
This looks fantastic! We have a family closet and it has been so helpful in keeping clothes more organized and dresser drawers from being a complete disaster. Having a laundry room/family closet combo is ideal.

What’s in those cabinets underneath the hanging clothes?

The built-in cabinets contain just your basic cupboard storage, with one shelf, and each with a drawer above. So it’s a good amount of storage.
