A Garage Progress Catch-Up!

Once again, the 4R Group is making speedy progress on our garage renovation.  They started bright and early Monday morning and began the demolition work – tearing out the floor to ceiling storage cupboards and wall board in the garage.  There was some concern about an area of the ceiling that seemed to be sagging, and we discussed having that portion replaced.  However, when they pulled the cupboards out from the corner, they discovered very quickly that the only thing holding up the ceiling had been that corner cupboard!  The guys barely got out before the whole ceiling fell down!  Anyway, I’m just as glad to get an entirely new ceiling put in to replace the original popcorn surface, and match the rest of the walls.

Tuesday they cleared out all the debris and installed the wiring and insulation. Wednesday, the garage door came off, the wall was framed and the door and window installed.

Today they will paint and get the electricity finished!  Here are pix from the first three days of this week – click the i for information to read captions. :)
