Tuna a la oeuf

Today Jacob had cooking class.  His task was to plan a menu, prepare the food, and serve it in a manner pleasing to the eye and palate.

Although he had some help from Geneva in peeling the oeufs, the menu and presentation were all conceived and executed by Jacob.  Here is the recipe, if you would like to make this for yourself (or your parents)!

  • Tuna, drained
  • Mayonnaise
  • Hard Boiled Eggs, peeled, whole
  • Cracked Pepper
  • Minced Dried Onion
  • Old Bay

Mix the tuna with enough mayonnaise to make it nice and creamy.

Scoop onto a plate and make a little well in the top of the mound.

Place one hardboiled egg upright in the well of the tuna.

Garnish with sprinkles of cracked pepper, minced dried onion, and Old Bay seasoning.

This simple meal can be accompanied by Ritz Crackers, if served as hors d’oeuvres,  or buttered toast and a variety of fresh vegetables for a satisfying meal.

Bon Appétit!
